This step will help you discover how God uniquely created you. Through understanding your personality and spiritual gifts, you will be prepared to serve others in the way God designed. Step Three takes place the third Sunday of every month.

This step will help you discover your purpose and place of service in the church. The teams are comprised of the five-fold ministry team leaders; a secretary and many sub-team leaders. The five fold main team leaders are:

1. Team Leader (administration gift):   Principle Function – Provides leadership and administration to the team.  Is a good manager with a pulse on the upcoming events. Spiritual Gift: Administration and if possible the secondary gift of mercy.   Responsibilities: A. Recruit and coordinate tasks and duties of sub-team leaders and members.  B. Organize and provide materials for event planning and preparation.  Delegate responsibilities to the Secretary to check that all necessary materials are in good supply and working order.  C.  Oversee budget and expenditures for the team.  D.  Appoint other Team Leaders with the approval of the Pastor: a secretary (Helps/Services), Prayer Leader (Prophecy), Recruiter (Mercy) and Encourager (Encouragement).  Keep all confidentiality.

2. Trainer (teaching gift):  Principle Function –  Provide leadership for team as well as train and recruit new members for the team.   Spiritual Gift – Teaching and if possible the secondary gifts of Mercy or Administration.  Responsibilities:  A. Be familiar with the team philosophy of ministry and vision.  B. Interview people who have completed the Spiritual Gift survey and train in the area where they would best serve (according to their gifts and passions).   C. Oversees training of all positions:  Prayer Leader, Recruiter, Secretary, Team Leader.   

 3. Prayer Leader (prophetic gift):  Principle Function – Ensure fellowship, prayer and fun within the team.

 4. Care Coordinator (encouragement gift):  Create a safe atmosphere of family and belonging.  Oversee prayer for the spiritual well being of the team by occasionally counseling and encouraging through phone calls and visits, if needed.

 5. Recruiter (mercy gift):  Principle Function – Provides motivation and compassion for their team members and individuals within the church body.  Help recruit new team members and be certain those involved are saved.

6. Secretary (Helps/Services):  Responsible for assisting the leaders with organizing schedules, contacting team, organizing equipment and coordinating with church pastor/office staff.
