The Outreach Team helps the church reach lost souls and is absolutely necessary for a church to grow. 

Outreach Team Vision Statement:  To reach the lost and hurting by inviting them into God’s house where they will feel the love and acceptance of Christ.

Primary Concerns:  4 Big Events (Easter, July 4th, Fall Friend/Family Day, Christmas), Small Events (Church-wide picnic, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Water Baptism, Weddings & Baby Showers, etc.)

Other Concerns: Missions, Nursing Home, Personal Evangelism, etc.

Team 2

First Impression Team

(Parking Attendant, Info Central, Greeter, Usher, Safety/Security, Facilities …)

The First Impression Team must be culturally relevant and caring.  Making everyone feel welcome is a top priority.

Hospitality Team Vision Statement:  To make church like Heaven on Earth by creating an accepting friendly atmosphere where the love of God is demonstrated.

Primary Concerns:  Parking attendants and outside greeters, door greeters, ushers, and security.

Other Concerns:  Welcome room, reception area, bulletins, etc.

Media & Arts Vision Statement

(Drama, Lights, Computer, Video Production, Camera, Media…)

The Media & Arts Team understands that the Gospel message never changes but how it is packaged and presented changes from one generation to the next.

Media & Arts Vision Statement:To produce the finest, high tech, professional, and exciting worship service that makes the Word of God seen and heard with cutting edge applications.

Primary Concerns:  (1) Promote church events, operate cameras, sound equipment, computers, video equipment, LCD, mixer, switcher/TV, etc. (2) Direct activities as a floor director. 3) CD/DVD duplication and make package for welcome center give-a-ways.

Other Concerns: Lighting, website, signage, drama, marketing (coordinate thematic elements of all media), etc.

Team 4

Worship

(Praise Team, Band, Choir, Sound, Intercessory Prayer, Sound Tech…)

The Worship Team is committed to creating a worship service that builds to the point that sinners respond

Worship Team Vision Statement:  To create an atmosphere of worship that will literally change lives.  While we seek to provide music with excellence, the utmost goal is to draw one closer to Jesus Christ.

Primary Concerns: Worship Team (leader, praise team,, singers, musicians), platform decorator and pastors prayer partners.  Planning worship services, special days and big events, conducting special services (baptism, baby dedication, communion, wedding, etc.)

Other Concerns:  Alter counselors, armor bearers, etc.

Assimilation & Follow-Up

(Guest Central, Altar Prayer, Pastors Breakfast/Growth Track Host, Tour Guide, Ongoing Follow-up…)

The Follow-up Team is dedicated to helping newcomers become active, ongoing participants in the life of the church.

Care & Follow-up Team Vision Statement:  To provide the love, acceptance, friendliness and compassion of Christ to the first-time guests and to all those who come through the church doors with the purpose of assimilating them into the life and ministry of the church.

Primary Concerns:  Pastor’s breakfast,  door openers, welcome center attendants and pastor’s prayer partners.

Other Concerns:  Prayer Chain, Shuttler, Care Ministry, etc.

Team 6

Children & Youth

(Nurseries, Jr. Kid’s Church, Kid’s Church, Jr. High, Sr. High, College and Career…)

The Children and Youth Team realize that a church grows when young families like what the church is doing with their children/teens.

Children and Youth Ministry Vision Statement: To lead children and youth to Christ, minister to their needs, encourage them to serve, and help them grow into spiritual maturity.

Primary Concerns:  Children’s ministry, youth ministry.  Conduct worship services for children from kindergarden through 5th grade, provide a graded choir team to teach music and plan special programs, care for children an evening a week.  Student ministries: 6th grade, 7-8 grade, 9-12 grade.   

Other Concerns:  Family life, etc.

Team 7

Small Groups

(Free Market Interest Based Groups, Bible Study, Men’s, Women’s, Single, Seniors … )

The Small Groups Team allows the church to grow larger and smaller at the same time.

Life Groups Vision Statement:  To provide the love, acceptance, friendliness, and compassion of Christ by connecting friends to the church through life groups.

Primary Concerns:  Small groups (any group of 4 or more/ratio of 3 from church and 1 unchurched) should meet once a week but can meet as little as once a month.  Average size is about 15-20.  Some groups are instructional while others are service oriented but the groups all provide pastoral care for the congregation.  Provide monthly or quarterly meetings/outings for all the groups to come together to provide an opportunity for celebration and corporate worship.
